I've definitely skipped through the "traditional" education a bit. I spent a couple years at ORME, a boarding school in the northern Arizona desert. Without graduation I moved to the California coast and started attending Monterey Peninsula College, where I spent quite a few years working toward an AA and figuring out what school had to offer me. I transferred eventually to UCSC, where I studied Earth Science for four years, netting a BS and an MS, and further indulging my fascination in this planet we all inhabit. Not even this short blurb would be complete without a mention of my graduate advisor, Andy Fisher (professor of hydrogeology and nice guy extraordinaire). Check out his web site. |
