BREWING BEER IS MY NEWEST HOBBY.
My housemate and good friend Adam and I have started brewing at our house in Oakland.

Below is a quick list of the few beers we've yet brewed. I plan to add the others as they are born.

The Carivorous Red was out first brew. This dark red ale turned out exceptionally well.
This stout, our second beer, was an all grain brew. It was a little weak tasting at first, but MAN, has it aged well. with only a couple bottles left it is getting REALLY good.
Ol' Number 53 got me drinkin' in heaven! This IPA-esque brew is pretty hoppy. The real fun however is that some of the bottles really foam up when opened (we're talking eruptive force). You never know what you'll get when you open it, but when it's good, damn is it!
The "Window Pain" has been an bitter sweet experience. This brew is our first to actuall following a recipe (well mostly following a recipe). It weighed in a little lighter than I might have liked (only 4% alc), but it really has a smooth flavor like a good blonde should. Unfortionately because we let it sit in the carboy for several weeks (after racking it off the yeast of course) there aren't many yeast still alive to carbonate the bottled beer. It is starting to carbonate (slowly) however and the bite of carbonic acid is making this a very nice beer to drink.
